As an a ending consultant, I was ac vely involved in all aspects of pa ent care, from the preopera ve to postopera ve period, including rehabilita on. I took part in the comprehensive preopera ve assessment, diagnosis, and management of various orthopaedic condi ons. My experience spans a wide range of cases, from straigh orward to highly complex, including periar cular trauma, pelvic and acetabular fractures, mulligamentous injuries, and osteochondral injuries of the knee, as well as meniscal repairs, meniscal transplants, shoulder arthroplasty, and complex revision total hip arthroplasty involving acetabular defect reconstruc on. I also managed emergency cases such as fractures with vascular injuries and compartment syndrome.
I assisted in numerous robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty procedures, actively participating in preoperative planning and making intraoperative adjustments for complex cases, including those involving extra-articular deformities of the femur and tibia. I independently performed various surgical procedures, including Closed Reduction and Internal Fixation (CRIF) and Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) for fractures of the upper and lower limbs, corrective osteotomies for knee deformities, repair of acute and chronic Achilles tendon tears, and retrocalcaneal decompression for Haglund’s deformity. Additionally, I managed cases requiring trigger finger release, triceps tendon avulsion repair, De Quervain’s release, and other orthopedic procedures. Under the supervision of senior consultants, I further enhanced my expertise in hip and knee arthroplasty, ACL reconstruction, and shoulder arthroscopy.
Overall, this role has significantly enhanced my surgical decision-making, communication skills, and technical expertise, enabling me to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
